Job Title:  Graphic Designer





This position will be responsible for the design and creation of digital/print graphics and web content to meet specific commercial or promotional needs using a variety of mediums to achieve artistic or decorative effects. Responsibilities include proofreading and coordination of social media accounts.


Required Education and Experience

  • Associates Degree or combination of education and experience that could fulfill the job requirements
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in graphic design
  • Advanced working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, especially Adobe InDesign, Illustrator/Photoshop
  • Knowledge of Pre-press production
  • Advanced knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures relating to Graphic Design
  • Understanding of web design principles including web standards and SEO
  • Ability to read copy and check to make sure there are no spelling, grammatical or typographical errors
  • Working knowledge of MS Office: Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Experience using WordPress to design and update web site content
  • Strong layout and production skills
  • Online analytics and the analysis of such data
  • Up-to-date knowledge of web trends, image formats, ecommerce standards and best practices
  • Must be capable of blending and balancing creative needs, technological constraints, customers’ needs with business objectives to develop the most persuasive, effective merchandising and promotional strategies

Preferred Experience

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Graphic Design or related discipline
  • Experience using email marketing software, e.g., MailChimp
  • Automobile industry experience
  • 2+ years of experience in project management
  • 2-4 years professional web design

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work


Full-time position

  • Standard days are Monday through Friday
  • Standard hours are 40 hours per week (dependent on workload)
  • Must be willing and have the ability to work additional hours during peak business needs, as requested

Essential Functions

  • Produce web projects requiring high-level web design experience with a focus on visual design, navigation, usability and brand identity
  • Work closely with department leads to solidify design direction and effectively translate business goals and requirements into compelling visual solutions
  • Research and recommend web design/user interface trends, technologies and processes for site development
  • Design print and digital media material as part of a complete marketing campaign, including but not limited to; support materials such as for the sales force, dealerships, and in-house personnel, product fact sheets, folders, advertisements, newsletter layouts, posters, training material, presentations, invitations, graphics, logos, etc.
  • Design web layouts and graphics; email design, social media banner design, landing pages, etc.
  • Untethered creativity when appropriate with an understanding of the use of, and when to adhere to, corporate guidelines and templates
  • Translate abstract concepts into tangible visuals for marketing collateral, advertising, trade show promotion, signage, and email marketing in order to elevate the status and brand awareness of the company
  • Oversee assigned project production from beginning to end, incorporating campaign elements (copywriting, photography, design, layout, etc.) to successfully communicate message to target audience, in alignment with established objectives
  • Update website, create content using WordPress
  • Search Engine Optimization
  • Create and modify contract application pages for the legal department
  • Foster corporate image and organizational brand identities
  • Assist with monthly creation of company Newsletter
  • Maintain and create schedule of print and web-based advertising with Marketing Manager ensuring that materials are delivered on time
  • Assists with daily operations of the marketing department, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow
  • Assisting in departmental training and development efforts
  • Builds, strengthens and maintains positive business relationships by establishing rapport with internal and external personnel
  • Maintain ongoing two-way communication promoting professionalism, teamwork, positive employee morale, and outstanding customer service
  • Assist at conferences and trade shows, as requested
  • Interacts with Management and guests requiring a polished and professional image in all settings
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned
